Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut Iki Island Guide: How To Find All Challenges & Armors
By Alleef Ashaari|August 20, 2021|0 Comment
The Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut Iki Island expansion is out now for PS4 and PS5, and with it comes a bunch of new content to discover & experience.
The biggest new addition to the Director’s Cut is the new Iki Island expansion, which comes with a brand new map, story and several new side activities. While there’s really not much to the expansion that you’ll need help with, perhaps this brief guide will still assist in particular stuff like the hidden final Archery Challenge.
You can also head on over here for our review of Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut.
Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut is RM299 on PS5. Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut is RM249 on PS4.
If you already own Ghost Of Tsushima on PS4, you can upgrade to the Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PS4 for RM89. If you already own Ghost Of Tsushima on PS4, you can upgrade to the Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PS5 for RM129.
If you already own the Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PS4, you can upgrade to the PS5 Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut for RM50.
Head on over here to buy Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut, or head on over here for the Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut upgrade page on the PlayStation Store.
After you download the PS5 version of Ghost of Tsushima, get to the game’s main menu and select “Transfer PS4 Console Save” option. The game will immediately locate the file either locally or over a USB connection and make them available for playing in the upgraded version of the game.
If you’re a PS Plus member with cloud saves, download the file locally before transferring.
To transfer a PS4 save to #GhostOfTsushima Director’s Cut on PS5, have it in your PS5 storage and select "Transfer PS4 Console Save" on the menu (we recommend downloading the latest patch first).

There are eight Archery Challenges located on the map of Iki Island. Most of these can be discovered easily. To find their locations more easily, you should unlock the Wind Of Concentration under the Exploration Technique tab. This will unlock the ability for you to use Guiding Wind to directly point the way to Archery Challenge locations.
Getting Gold in all these Archery Challenges won’t be easy. First things first, equip yourself with Tadayori’s Armor to take advantage of the armour set’s unique buffs, including increased nocking and reload speed (30 percent) and increased Total Concentration time by 2 seconds.
In fact, Total Concentration (where you press R3 to slow time down when using the bow and arrow) is key to getting better times on Archery Challenge. Every Archery Challenge in the game requires you to hit all targets in under 7 seconds in order to get Gold, which is pretty much impossible without using Total Concentration and exploiting specific Charms.
You’ll need to equip the Charm Of Concentration, which you can obtain from trying out any of the Archery Challenges for the first time and getting at least a Bronze.
Once you get the Charm Of Concentration, keep it equipped. It will improve as you get more medals from Archery Challenges. Also, if you have them, equip the Charm Of Efficiency, which increasing nocking and reload speeds even further (you can actually stack multiple of these).
If you find the Archery Challenges too hard, here’s my strategy: Just try out all 7 of the Archery Challenges (the 8th is hidden), and just get at least a Bronze or Silver if you can. Every medal that you get will improve the Charm Of Concentration, thus slowly increasing the amount of time you can be in slow motion during Total Concentration.
By the time you’ve gotten a Bronze or Silver in all 7 Archery Challenges, you’ll probably have enough Total Concentration time to get a few Gold, thereby improving the Charm Of Concentration even more. I won’t lie, you’ll still need a measure of skill to get Gold, but at least this armour loadout will help improve your chances.
Now, to find and unlock the 8th and final Archery Challenge, it’s actually marked on the map as Raider Memorial, near the bottom of the Iki Island map. There, you’ll find an NPC that you can speak to. If you’re wearing anything but Tadayori’s Armor and speak to him, nothing would happen.
However, wearing Tadayori’s Armor will result in a different response. Even approaching the NPC will result in him saying “Why are you wearing that?”. Once this happens, speak to him and he’ll say something different than the usual, about how Tadayori was an evil man and whatnot.
What’s important is that this will unlock the 8th and final Archery Challenge, which isn’t actually any harder than the rest of the other ones. You can probably unlock this hidden Archery Challenge earlier, but I only discovered this after completing Iki Island and completing the other Archery Challenges.
There’s only one new armour in Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut Iki Island expansion and it’s the Sarugami Armor set.
To get it, you need to complete the Mythic Tale called The Legend Of Black Hand Riku, which will only unlock after you’ve completed the story quest A Raider’s Return.
Here’s what special attributes of the Sarugami Armor when fully upgraded:
