Project Sekai Is Going To Be Localized In English This Year

Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku, the really addictive Sega-published music rhythm mobile game, is going to be localized in English worldwide for iOS and Android in 2021. It’ll be dubbed Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!.

No set date has been confirmed yet, but this is lovely news for those who have been playing the Japanese version and trying to figure out the stories of each of the vocaloids and new bands in the music rhythm title. Here are some words from Sega producer Shingo Kosuge:

“I’ve been a fan of Hatsune Miku from the very start, and have observed the global phenomenon of the growth of her fanbase and community. We’ve created a new immersive experience with Hatsune Miku offering her fans, as well as fans of anime and Japanese culture, to engage and experience her music. It will be a thrill for us to watch how people respond to the musical performances and fun gameplay challenges that we’re creating.”

The upcoming music rhythm game features Hatsune Miku and her vocaloid pals (Kagamine Rin/Len, Luka, Kaito, and Meiko), along with 20 new original characters split into five bands. You have a runway with notes that you have to hit in accordance to the song beat; said music will be techno electro J-pop content from Hatsune Miku’s brand and original content just for the game.
