Overwatch 2 Will Be Featured In Overwatch League’s 2022 Season

While Overwatch 2 was announced back in BlizzCon 2019, its release date has been uncertain. However, fans will be seeing an early build of the sequel in the next Overwatch League’s season.

Overwatch League’s 2022 season, which begins in April, will have its pro players compete on an “early build” of Overwatch 2 (via PC Gamer). This may be a big deal in the Overwatch esports scene because Overwatch 2’s PvP will be 5v5 instead of the original’s 6v6; also, teams will only get 1 tank.

More details about the 2022 season will be revealed next April. At the very least, we now know that Overwatch 2 will be out in some form in mid-2022.
