This is including the other ongoing anniversary events with similar prizes to the cosplay competition above. That’s a lot to take in, but generally the rewards seem lame to a majority of players.
One of them, the Blessing of the Welkin Moon reward, is basically a gacha reward where you may not even win it at all should you even get a chance at it. Why the company couldn’t just give the prize outright is beyond us.
As expected, Twitter posters are up in arms about this “celebration”, accusing the company of being stingy with its rewards.

It will be really funny if there's no actual artist submit their art instead all player draw a stick man hold a primogem and submit it to the contest…and let them know This is how much 100 primo art cost pic.twitter.com/plB1b1k8L8

They're basically tricking artists to do work for free which would cost thousands for the company to commision official artwork. And they can choose best one out of it for free and u get a chance at few primos which doesn't buy u bread.

The top-tier prizes are those who are willing to put in the effort for cosplay and art, which to be frank is worth it since Genshin Impact’s art and characters are the main draw, thus making sense from a promotion standpoint.
Of course, there are other factors to the outrage, including but not limited to:
This may be a case of Mihoyo facing bad PR at the moment, which will probably blow over once the company releases a bunch of new characters with great powerups. That’s just how the gacha F2P train works; unless Mihoyo is earning less than the billions they’re getting right now in the next six months, nothing is going to change.
