Bright: Samurai Soul Is An Anime Spinoff Of That Terrible Netflix Film

Netflix will be making an anime film that’s a spin-off of the buddy cop fantasy film Bright, a critically-panned film due to its terrible worldbuilding and an average plot filled with racial stereotyping disguised with fantasy tropes.

The anime spin-off is directed by Kyohei Ishiguro, the director who made lots of people cry in the anime series Your Lie In April.

It features English dub voice work from Simu Liu who voices main human character Izo, Fred Mancuso as orc Raiden, and Yuzu Harada as an elf girl who has a plot-important wand she carries around.

The Japanese dub features Yuki Nomura, Daisuke Hirakawa, and Shion Wakayama as Izo, Raiden, and the elf girl respectively. Antagonist Kouketsu is played by famous Japanese musician Miyavi, at least for the Japanese dub of the film.

The film will be out on 12th October.
