Demon Slayer Season 2 Is Coming In 2021 [Updated]

Update (26 September, 2021): Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie Mugen Train came out last year in Japan and in other regions in 2021 to great success. However, it looks like we’ll be getting more of that soon.

According to Anime News Network, Demon Slayer Season 2 will premiere on 10 October 2021 with its own adaptation of the Mugen Train arc consisting of seven episodes (including a brand new episode). The first episode will feature Rengoku as he embarks on his journey to the Mugen Train (which is the aforementioned brand new content). The remaining six episodes will add about 70 new animation cuts and new background music, as well as a new trailer.

LiSA will sing the opening song “Akeboshi” (Morning Star) and ending song “Shirogane” (Silver) for the Mugen Train arc, while Aimer will sing the opening song “Zankyō Sanka” (Song of Reverberation) and ending song “Asa ga Kuru” (Daybreak) for the Entertainment District Arc.

The Entertainment District Arc will only officially kick off on 5 December 2021 with a one-hour premiere.
