Blizzard just announced the release times for Diablo 2: Resurrected for PC and consoles.

The game will be ready to purchase & play on 24th September 11pm GMT+8 (Malaysia, Singapore, The Philippines). Keep in mind that there are no physical versions of the game; it’s only available digitally at this point in time.

The Dark Lord is almost here.

Also, Blizzard answered some pressing inquiries for its more dedicated fanbase for Diablo 2:

• Ladder rankings and listings will be hosted post-launch. As for when? No idea.
• Players will be able to load their local offline saves of Diablo 2 Classic into Diablo 2: Resurrected by copying the save files from the original D2 to D2: Resurrected on PC.

The underlying game engine is the same, so those local saves will work but they will need to be copied over manually. However, local save files (whether newly created or copied from Diablo II) will be different from online save files—there are profound differences between the modern Battle.net of today and the platform we launched with Diablo II all those years ago. To enjoy all of the modern online features, such as friend invites and greater security, players will need to create a new online character.
