Malaysia To Host Virtual Video Game Music Pixel Event This December
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|September 9, 2021|0 Comment
Some of Malaysia’s gaming and music talents are partnering up to deliver its own virtual concert event to the spirit of a MAGFest event.
That’s right: Malaysia will be the first Southeast Asian country to host its own virtual gaming music event with the Revive Arcade Festival this 4th and 5th December. The event is dubbed as Southeast Asia’s “first interactive 2D pixel art music festival” which is a win for Malaysia in our books (via Music Press Asia).
This two-day music and gaming virtual event will have two creative companies on board: Persona Theory Games (Kabaret, Fires at Midnight) and Tala Records Asia. Paying audiences will get to build their own virtual characters, play minigames, and enjoy live performances from artists and rising talents from Southeast Asia. Highlights include Malaysian band Joyberry who is recently known for its track “Selamanya“.
You can get more information about Revive Arcade Festival here, which is supported by Malaysia’s MyCreative initiative (that’s under the PENJANA program).
