Super Nintendo World Theme Park In Japan To Get Donkey Kong Expansion In 2024
Nintendo has announced that its Super Nintendo World theme park in Universal Studios Japan in Osaka will be getting an extra expansion.
The park will receive a Donkey Kong-themed expansion later in 2024. The expansion will have guests “take a walk on the wild side through the lush jungles where Donkey Kong and his friends live”. The expansion will feature a roller coaster and interactive experiences, as well as increase the size of its themed area by 70%.
We’ll say this: the experience will not be complete without endless loops of Dave Wise’s Donkey Kong Country soundtrack playing in this section of the park. Not that we’d mind: it totally fits.
