Square Enix just announced its Tokyo Game Show 2021 games lineup for its 1st to 3rd October presentation. And while it looks standard, there is one title that is missing: Final Fantasy XVI. 

Yep, the 16th mothership FF title may not make an appearance during TGS 2021 week. Either it’s getting its own showcase later in 2021, or it’s not ready yet (thanks, COVID-19). Or it may be a surprise tease on 3rd October’s Final Fantasy XIV livestream panel, since producer Naoki Yoshida is on it. Who knows?
