Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary Event Announced, Among Other KH-Related Things

Square Enix has released a new video celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts franchise. The game first came out back on 20th March for the PlayStation 2.

God, I’m old.

Anyway, the trailer highlights the following:

  • The cloud versions of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind are on their way to Nintendo Switch.
  • Square Enix will be selling all sorts of 20th anniversary Kingdom Hearts merchandise.
  • The offline version of Kingdom Hearts: Union χ is now available for free. Basically, you can watch all the story cutscenes in the game’s story mode so you can get up to date with the series’ detailed storyline.
  • Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road will be out this Winter.
  • The 20th anniversary event is announced; no details and date has been announced yet.

On a related note, Kingdom Hearts protagonist Sora will be in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in mid-October. Guess it’s good a time as any to be proud of being a Kingdom Hearts fan.
