[Rumour] The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update Is Coming Today

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt could be launching on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S today on 19 October 2021.

According to the recently updated PEGI ratings board (via Gematsu), The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt next-gen update will arrive today. However, CD Projekt Red has yet to confirm the news, so it’s better to take all this with a grain of salt for now.

The updated listing mentions the The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Game Of The Year Edition, which means that it would come with the base game, alongside the Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansions.

The Witcher 3 next-gen version was originally announced back in September 2020. Back then, the developer said that the next-gen edition of The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt will feature “a range of visual and technical improvements, including ray tracing and faster loading times, across the base game, both expansions, and all extra content”.

Although it will be released as a standalone purchase for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, existing owners of the game on the PS4, Xbox One and PC will receive the next-gen version as a free update.

Stay tuned.
