Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! Will Be Out In English This December

Sega’s upcoming mobile music rhythm game Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! will be out in English worldwide on 7th December.

The game, where you play as virtual idols and fledging bands playing gigs in both the real and digital space, will be out for iOS and Android later this year. The game’s public beta test was successful; for its 2 weeks it engaged more than 60,000 players on both platforms in select English-speaking countries.

Sega also introduced the game’s cast, which consists of Project Diva characters and brand-new characters just for this music rhythm title. Here they are:

  • Leo/need – “The High School Rock band,” formed by a group of four childhood friends who overcome their differences and reunite as a band to strengthen their friendship.
  • MORE MORE JUMP! – “The Idol group,” where a young girl who dreams of becoming an idol teams up with three girls who already faced the harsh reality of being a public idol. Will she achieve her dream?
  • Vivid BAD SQUAD – “The Street group”, featuring a shy girl who enters the world of street music and joins a band trying to surpass a Legend.
Wonderlands x Showtime: “The Entertainment group,” consisting of an eccentric group of entertainers who take up a deserted stage in a popular theme park to bring laughter and cheer to the world.
  • Nightcord at 25:00 – “The Online Music group,” not knowing each other’s names and faces, four friends meet online to create music in the late hours of the night.

We’ve played the Japanese version for a year or so; it’s a really fun music rhythm game with an enhanced UI when compared to similar rhythm games like D4DJ and Bang! Dream Girl Party. Music-wise, if you love vocaloid pop songs and covers, this one could be your jam.
