Shin Megami Tensei 5 “World In Ruins” Trailer Shows Off Battle System & Dialogue Choices Bit

Atlus just released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming RPG Shin Megami Tensei 5, featuring the game’s rocking soundtrack and a few gameplay overview sections.

In true SMT fashion, players can talk to demons to recruit them, and fuse them to create bigger & better demons. The series’ Press Turn Battle is also similar to past SMT titles; strike enemy weaknesses to increase your party actions, but get hit by weaknesses and enemies will gain the advantage.

SMT5 also introduces new mechanics like demon essences that let you tweak your party member’s individual stats and strengths/weaknesses, Glory points that allows your main character -the Nahobino- to learn Miracles (permanent passive buffs and abilities), and a Magatsuhi Gauge that lets you unleash your Super Move when the time is right.

Shin Megami Tensei 5 will be out for Nintendo Switch on 12th November.
