Popular Twitch Streamer Pokimane Co-Owns EVO Thanks To Her New Talent Agency

A while ago, Sony announced that it acquired the long-running Evolution Championship Series (EVO) alongside a new company called RTS.

Just today, we find out what the latter is about: a talent management and brand consulting firm similar to The Philippines’ Tier One. And just like Tier One, it’s co-founded by a renowned female gamer. In RTS’ case, it’s popular Twitch streamer Pokimane.

Imane “Pokimane” Anys is the co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of the company, which helps manage talents under them and consults firms, as well as “fixing what is broken in both talent management and brand partnerships in the gaming and eSports landscape”.

“I keep seeing amazing creators that are doing wonders with their content and streams, but they don’t have the support to grow their brand and business operations. They’re spinning their wheels on basic stuff and taking a lot of frustrating partnership deals that don’t work out for either party involved.

I’ve gone through the wringer with these experiences, and we’re building RTS to be able to provide the support, alleviate the workload, and solve this for creators, developers and brands.”

She is joined by other luminaries including ex-Twitch co-founder Kevin lin and ex-Endeavor esports director Cristian Tamas. RTS plans to work with creators to help manage their operations, growth strategies, partnerships and finances.

While not the first talent management group in gaming and esports, RTS may be the one agency to influence many, many others all around the world to do the same with their own circular group. And that also means more pretenders to the throne and imitators.
