[Rumor] Final Fantasy XVI And Final Fantasy IX Remake Dates Allegedly Leaked

The NVidia GeForce Now leak story is still ongoing, this time with the release dates of renowned Final Fantasy rumoured projects.

On a recent Reddit thread from user MatthewSkopinsky1, a second GitHub listing mentioned some alleged release dates for noteworthy games. In addition to some titles being confirmed like the God of War (2018) PC port and the Grand Theft Auto remasters, there are a number of too-good-to-be-true mentions in the RPG department:

  • Avowed: 7 December 2022
  • Chrono Cross Remaster:  December 2021
  • Final Fantasy IX Remake: 1 April 2022
  • Final Fantasy XVI: 1 March 2023
  • Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster: 1 February 2022
  • Forspoken: 1 March 2022
  • Kingdom Hearts IV: 30 September 2023
  • Shin Megami Tensei V (PC): 1 February 2022
  • The Elder Scrolls VI: 1 February 2024
  • The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero: 30 September 2022
  • Tactics Ogre Remaster: 1 March 2022

Keep in mind that these aren’t official dates and are probably placeholders that have been around for months. It’s also pretty hilarious that a Final Fantasy IX remake, which is based on a beloved Final Fantasy entry, is coming out pretty soon without any prior announcement whatsoever. Still, think of this as an interesting development for console games being ported onto PC, as with the case of Shin Megami Tensei V which is a Nintendo Switch exclusive coming out on 12th November of this year.
