Quantum Leap Actor Dean Stockwell Dies At 85

American actor Dean Stockwell has passed away at the age of 85. According to sources (via Variety), the late actor died peacefully in his sleep at home on Sunday, 7 November 2021.
The late Dean Stockwell started his career as a child actor in 1945’s Valley Of Decision. In his later years, he is best known for portraying Admiral Al Calavicci in 97 episodes of the cult classic science fiction TV series Quantum Leap, which ran for five seasons between 1989 and 1993.
For that role, he earned multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations, including a Golden Globe win in 1990 for “best performance by an actor in a supporting role in a series, miniseries or motion picture made for television.†The late actor later received a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame on 29 February 1992. He was also known for starring in the Battlestar Galactica reboot series between 2006 to 2009 as John Cavil AKA the Number One Cylon.
