Latest Call Of Duty: Vanguard Update Wipes Mid-Level Saves, But Adds More Stuff
Sledgehammer Games has released a new Call of Duty: Vanguard and will be adding a fix to the game’s recent code redemption issues.
Players who couldn’t redeem codes for XP bonuses, Calling Cards, and Emblems should be able to do so in this update. The game’s Combat Shield now provides cover when placed on a player’s back. Operator Challenges do not reset when they’re complete, and past inaccurate unlock requirements for Weapon Challenges are now amended.
Unfortunately, the update will wipe mid-level checkpoint save data, which means campaign players will need to restart the mission they were on the last time they played the game. That’s fine, considering most missions in a CoD game shouldn’t take too long to complete.
It won’t fix the rest of the game’s lingering problems; you know, the one where it’s basically the same damn game republished and reskinned for the past 5 years or so. Full patch notes are below:
