The Star Wars Ahsoka Series Has Found Its Sabine Wren

Star Wars fans may remember the name Sabine Wren, the Mandalorian female warrior from the Star Wars Rebels animated series. She can now join the ranks of Bo-Katan in the “animated Mandalorian to live-action” characters department thanks to recent developments in the Star Wars Ahsoka series.

Disney+ has announced that Sabine Wren, who will appear in the Ahsoka show, will be played by actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo (via Deadline). She will be in the lead role opposite Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka.

Sabine Wren is a Mandalorian warrior who made her mark being in the Star Wars Rebels Ghost crew alongside Captain Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, and Garazeb Orrelios. At the end of the show, she teamed up with Ahsoka to search for Ezra.

The Star Wars Ahsoka show is set to begin production in early 2022, with the story written by Star Wars Rebels co-creator Dave Filoni who is probably beaming at seeing his characters come to life. The show will also include Hayden Christiansen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.
