Mobile JRPG Another Eden Teases A Chrono Cross Collaboration

It’s only a matter of time until mobile JRPG Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space, which has ex-Chrono Cross folks working on it, taps back to the well of inspiration it birthed from.

That’s the case of this piece of news where Another Eden is teasing a collaboration with Square Enix, which is most likely Chrono Cross, the awesome yet divisive sequel to Chrono Trigger. How do we know this? Thanks to this recent Reddit post that detailed the Another Eden update that includes files for a Chrono Cross collaboration.

The actual announcement will be on 4th December 5pm GMT+8. Here’s the website and the mysterious text it comes with:

The beginning, since lost to oblivion…

A memory now nothing but a faded echo.

Time stopped for me then.

A soul with no place, I became a petal on the wind.

Until suddenly, a clock long since broken carefully and quietly began to move…

And with it, something started anew in you.

Our future, our tomorrow…

Beckoned forth…

By familiar voices from beyond the dark…

Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space is now available on PC, iOS, and Android devices. Sadly, the original PS1 Chrono Cross isn’t playable anywhere at this moment in time. Hopefully, that remaster news turns out to be true because I would love to relive this JRPG version of an existential crisis.
