The Original Titanfall Is No Longer Available For Sale

The original Titanfall was launched for the Xbox One and PC in 2014. After seven years, developer Respawn Entertainment has officially ended all sales of the first Titanfall game. Titanfall will also be removed from subscription-based services starting from 1 March 2022.

However, on the bright side, any players who’ve already purchased Titanfall will still have access to live servers. Despite the sudden removal of the game from all storefronts, Respawn insists that Titanfall is still part of the studio’s identity and that the universe will continue.

“Rest assured, Titanfall is core to Respawn’s DNA and this incredible universe will continue. Today in Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends, and in the future.

This franchise is a north star for the caliber of experiences we will continue to create here at Respawn.”

This removal comes only a few months after it was revealed that the company could only devote one or two people to working on Titanfall‘s hacking issues. It looks like perhaps the company has considered the game a lost cause and simply decided to move on and divert resources to other projects.
