You Can Now Pre-Load The Matrix Awakens On PS5 & Xbox Series

Remember that mysterious The Matrix game that was leaked last week? The Matrix Awakens An Unreal Engine 5 Experience is now available for pre-load for PS5 via the PlayStation Store and Xbox Series X/S via the Microsoft Store.

According to the trailer, it’s described as “a glimpse into the future of interactive storytelling and entertainment with Unreal Engine 5 in this free, boundary-pushing cinematic and real-time tech demo”. That probably means that it won’t be a conventional game and more akin to an interactive experience.

The Matrix Awakens An Unreal Engine 5 Experience is created by members of the original movie team including Lana Wachowski along with Epic Games and partners, as well as features performances by Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss.

It will be fully announced at The Game Awards 2021, which will take place on 10 December 2021.
