Party Racing Game KartRider Drift Closed Beta Is Now Live
By Alleef Ashaari|December 9, 2021|0 Comment
KartRider Drift is offering players a taste of the high-speed thrills to come with its third Closed Beta Testing period “Test Drive”. It is now live and will run until 15 December 2021. Selected racers can join the action on PC, Xbox One and, for the first time ever, PS4.
It is an upcoming multiplayer kart racing party game, taking inspiration from earlier titles in the franchise, delivering drift-fueled racing action and featuring multiple game modes and deep player-created kart and character customization. KartRider Drift offers free-to-play online cross-platform play and progression to challenge friends.
During the “Test Drive†period, players worldwide will have the opportunity to burn rubber in two different modes: “Item Mode†and “Speed Mode.†For players wanting to team up with friends, “Item Mode†provides the perfect setup in which racers are allotted two items each to attack opposing teams or defend their allies. Racers with a need-for-speed can compete in the “Speed Mode,†during which they’ll need to use both fast-reaction skills and strategy to earn and use boost items to blast ahead of the competition.
Players can expect the following content during the “Test Drive†period:
Interested racers who missed the registration window need not worry, as an additional registration period is also now open until 9am GMT+8 on Monday, 13 December 2021. Selected players will be announced at 5pm GMT+8 on the same day.
To celebrate the upcoming Closed Beta period, all participants who log into the game and create a racer name will receive a “Pit Chief Brodi†costume which will be sent to their Nexon account at the official launch. Players can join in the action from 9 December to 15 December 2021. Racers on Xbox One and PS4 must link their Nexon account to participate.
This Closed Beta test will focus on verifying the technical stability of PC and console play, as well as accessibility, specifically for new racers adapting to the gameplay and controls.
