Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster Delayed To February 2022

Square Enix has announced that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series version of Final Fantasy VI has been delayed, and will now launch for PC via Steam, iOS, and Android in February 2022.

The reason for the delay is to polish the game even further, which will require more time. Users who pre-purchase the game will receive the following items:

  • Special Soundtracks
    • “Locke’s Theme (Timelapse Remix)” (newly added)
    • “The Decisive Battle (Timelapse Remix)”
    • “Terra’s Theme (Timelapse Remix)”
    • “Searching for Friends (Timelapse Remix)”
    • “Aria di Mezzo Carattere (Instrumental)” (newly added)
    • “Timelapse Remix” is a special soundtrack data that starts off with the original soundtrack version, but lets you also enjoy the reworked alternative soundtrack version as the soundtrack gradually transitions to the reworked alternative soundtrack version.
  • Special Wallpapers
    • Final Fantasy VI – Two types of wallpapers.
    • Final Fantasy I to VI – Two types of Pixel Remaster series wallpapers (newly added).
    • Each wallpaper is available in five different sizes: 3840×2160, 2560×1600, 1920×1080, 1280×1024, and 1024×768.
