The Game Awards 2021: All The Game Reveals, News, & Winners

The Game Awards 2021 just concluded, and it was probably the biggest iteration of the annual event yet. The show featured tons of surprises in the form of new game announcements, trailers, reveals, and a slew of guest appearances.

Good try, given that later on the show debuted a Quantic Dream-developed Star Wars game. That’s a company with some harassment issues.

Tunic

Explore a land filled with lost legends, ancient powers, and ferocious monsters in Tunic, an isometric action game about a small fox on a big adventure. Stranded on a mysterious beach, armed with only your own curiosity, you will confront colossal beasts, collect strange and powerful items, and unravel long-lost secrets.

Tunic comes out on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on 16 March 2022.

The King Of Fighters XV

Homeworld 3 is a real-time strategy game coming to PC in Q4 2022.

Tactical, beautiful, and wholly unique, the GOTY-winning sci-fi RTS returns with Homeworld 3. Assume control of Fleet Command and battle through fleet combat in dazzling, fully 3D space while the story unfolds on a galactic scale.

The Expanse A Telltale Series

The Expanse A Telltale Series is set before the start of the TV series. Taking the reins as Camina Drummer, players will lead a scavenging crew on the spaceship Artemis, as they rove through the corners of The Belt. Players will face mutiny and conflicting personalities, aboard The Artemis, in this narrative-driven interactive game.

Babylon’s Fall

Babylon’s Fall will launch for PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam on 3 March 2022, publisher Square Enix and developer PlatinumGames announced.

Atlus will release Persona 4 Arena Ultimax for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on 17 March 2022 worldwide, the company announced.

Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2

Star Wars Eclipse is the newest adventure in the High Republic era, now early in development by Quantic Dream. Star Wars Eclipse is an intricately branching action-adventure game that can be experienced in many ways and puts the destinies of multiple playable characters in your hands, created in collaboration between Quantic Dream and Lucasfilm Games.

Wonder Woman

Publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer Monolith Productions have announced Wonder Woman. Platforms and a release date were not announced.

In development by Monolith Productions, creators of the critically acclaimed Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor and sequel Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War, the single-player open-world action game will introduce an original story set in the DC Universe and allow players to become Diana of Themyscira in the fight to unite her Amazon family and the humans from the modern world.

Powered by the Nemesis System, gamers will forge deep connections with both enemies and allies as they progress from a heroic fighter into a proven leader.

Alan Wake 2

Alan Wake 2, the long-awaited sequel to Remedy Entertainment’s award-winning 2021 psychological thriller will be available in 2023 on PC via the Epic Games Store, PS5 & Xbox Series X|S.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2

The world’s favourite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in Sonic The Hedgehog 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilisations.

Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.

It stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Jim Carrey returning, alongside new additions Shemar Moore, with Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles, and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as the voice of Tails.

It premieres on 8 April 2022.

The Lord Of The Rings Gollum is a story-driven action-adventure coming to Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2022.

Take on a perilous journey as Gollum, chasing the only thing that is precious to him. From his time as a slave below the Dark Tower to his stay with the Elves of Mirkwood, climb, leap, and sneak your way past dangers.

The Warrior Priest of Sigmar is a new career for Victor Saltzpyre. This DLC contains the new playable career complete with a new talent tree, new weapon types, new abilities, a new Warrior Priest of Sigmar skin, and more.

It is now available on PC and Xbox. It comes to PS4 later in January 2022.

Tchia

Tchia is a Tropical Open-World adventure. Climb, glide, swim, and sail your boat around a beautiful archipelago in this physics-driven sandbox. Use Tchia’s Soul Jumping ability to take control of any animal or object you can find, and Jam on your fully playable Ukulele. A game inspired by New Caledonia.

Publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer Rocksteady Studios have released a new gameplay trailer for third-person shooter action adventure game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League dubbed “Flash and Burn.”

Forspoken

Forspoken will launch for PS5 and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store on 24 May 2022, publisher Square Enix and developer Luminous Productions announced.

Mysteriously transported from New York City, Frey Holland finds herself trapped in the ancient land of Athia.
