The Wayward Realms Is A New Open-World RPG From Former Elder Scrolls Devs
By Alleef AshaariVerified|January 24, 2022|0 Comment
OnceLost Games has unveiled a brief new trailer for The Wayward Realms. The developer is helmed by Ted Peterson and Julian LeFay, who were former lead developers of the team behind the original The Elder Scrolls, Arena and Daggerfall.
The Wayward Realms is set on a group of over one hundred, realistically scaled, islands, known collectively as the Archipelago, where scores of factions vie for influence and power. The game boasts of big cities with hundreds or thousands of NPCs, deep, dark, dangerous forests, gigantic mountain ranges, sprawling swamps and marshlands, vast oceans, and more, brought to life through dynamic, procedural generation.
In addition, there will also be a virtual Game Master that keeps things interesting for players, making other characters and their factions react and plot their next move based on the players’ actions, resulting in no two players having the exact same game experience.
However, all that said, there is no release date or release window yet for The Wayward Realms. The new trailer also doesn’t feature any gameplay footage, so it might be a while yet before the game even comes out. For now, you can wishlist the game on Steam for future updates.
