FIFA 23 Will Include Crossplay & Expanded Women’s League
It seems like EA will be putting a bit more effort in its annual football title.
Reports from Xfire stated that FIFA 23, the next FIFA game that people seem to love buying for that good ol’ roster update and some extra gameplay tweaks, will feature crossplay for the first time ever between PC, Xbox, and PlayStation players. In addition, EA’s Hypermotion Technology has received a large upgrade and will probably make the game and its footballers a little more realistic and better-looking.
Also, FIFA 23 will be featuring both men and women FIFA World Cup divisions, with EA planning to expand the licensing agreements in place with women’s leagues and teams. This seems like EA is planning to bring its FIFA football game to better heights, despite the FIFA brand holding it back.
During an internal call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said that FIFA has impeded the football franchise, suggesting that it cannot expand the game into modes beyond the 11v11 format. Wilson also stated that the only value EA got from the license in a non-World Cup year was “four letters on the front of the box”.
If EA keeps up its current FIFA FUT entries and not be able to go beyond the template, many disgruntled fans will have four specific letters arranged into a suitable word for the company. Hint: the first letter is “f”.
