After 5 Years, Dragalia Lost Is Ending Its Services, Probably In Late 2022
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|March 22, 2022|0 Comment
Cygames and Nintendo’s joint collaboration mobile RPG Dragalia Lost will be shutting down.
Not immediately, mind you. According to both Cygames and Nintendo, Dragalia Lost will end its service sometime after the conclusion of the game’s main story campaign in July 2022. The game will conclude its 5-year running story with the second half of Chapter 26, which means the writers will either have to make its main character Euden The Prince pick a lady for himself after all this is over or go for the safe route of “I ain’t ending up with anyone, let’s venture forth with my siblings etc.”. It’ll be great if the game’s ending had a multiple choice option for Euden’s waifus; to me, the canon is him shacking up with Mym the dragon lady.
Anyway, after the final set of new adventurers have been added for 31st March, Dragalia Lost will not receive new content apart from those for the main quest and side quests. Summon showcases will still go on until the game’ service ends.
Dragalia Lost came out for iOS and Android in 2018; it was pretty awesome for a mobile RPG that’s casual enough for everyone to play. But all good things and live services have to end eventually. Here’s to a great 5-year streak, Cygames and Nintendo.
