Elden Ring: The Best Place To Farm Runes
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|March 2, 2022|0 Comment
In Elden Ring, amassing Runes means having tons of currency to buy more weapons, items, and also the ability to level up. You’ll need lots of these to get to a higher level and better stats to min/max in.
Mid-game, you should be able to find a few spots to successfully farm for Runes, with plenty of bad guys who are easy to kill. Here are a few spots that seem reliable in Elden Ring.Â
But first, check out our other guides if you haven’t:
To head to this farming spot, you have to be at Caelid; the red zone of Elden Ring. It’s full of freaks, but some of them are laid out in a way that’s ripe for farming.
Head to Dragonbarrow Fork; it’s this particular region in Caelid that’s full of dragons/wyverns.
This is the Site of Grace that leads you East to a nearby Erdtree root where the Erdtree Avatar lies waiting for you to kill it. But we’re here to get rid of the Erdtree’s soldiers who are stationed along the path. They’re worth quite a few thousand runes when killed. There will be 14 you can farm for Runes at this pathway.
Before you start, be sure to equip your strongest weapon that has good reach while on horseback.
Get on your steed Torrent and kill the first one along the path near the left tree, then the two of them who pop up behind.
Then head to the cliff nearby on the right and wait for the tree spear soldier to drop down. Kill it when it lands.
Then kill the next 4 that are slowly rising from the ground as you approach their field of combat.
Head upwards and get the attention of the enemies by double jumping near this right cliff spot.
Kill the ones slightly past the giant right pot; there should be two of them. If you time the double jump right, you’ll attract one of them to your spot; kill that guy too.
Finally, head to the right cliff area and deal with the other two.
Teleport back to the Dragonbarrow Fork Site of Grace. Rinse and repeat as many times as you like; within an hour you would have amassed about 800,000+ Runes.
Early in the game, you can head to a much higher area to fight enemies who stunlock easily. It also takes you to Geryoll’s Dragonbarrow. Here’s a guide from PowerPyx:
