Cartoon Network Celebrates Raya With Mechamato Marathon
By Alleef Ashaari|April 27, 2022|0 Comment
Cartoon Network, together with Monsta, the creative studio behind BoBoiBoy and new hit series Mechamato, present fun Craft Your World projects that fans can enjoy in the run-up to Hari Raya. Plus, fans can enjoy a Mechamato Week Marathon from Monday, May 2 to 8, 11am to 1pm, kicking off Cartoon Network’s Redraw Your Summer programming block, a weekly themed collection of fan favourites, all on Cartoon Network (Astro Channel 615 HD). New episodes of Mechamato premiere every weekend, 3pm.
One of the top-rated animated series on Cartoon Network in Malaysia today, Mechamato has gained many ardent fans since its debut in December 2021.
Set in Kota Hilir, which is inspired by Bandar Hilir in Malacca, the show introduces the world to Malaysia’s unique culture and traditions, and the exciting adventures of a young boy named Amato and his mechanical friend Mechabot, a robot with the ability to mechanize everyday objects into high-tech devices. Together, they have their hands full keeping their friends and their town safe from the nefarious plans of other bad robots.
In the first week of Redraw Your Summer, a five-week block that includes Teen Titans Go!, Looney Tunes Cartoons, Krypto the Superdog and We Bare Bears, kids can catch a total of 13 episodes in the Mechamato Week Marathon. From cyberbullies and kidnappers to dangerous robots threatening to encase the town in ice or engulf it in flames, each episode demonstrates acts of bravery, friendship, and innovation as they face each challenge as a team.
Now, Amato and Mechabot invite fans to inject a little creativity and innovation of their own with these cool Craft Your World x Mechamato ketupat casing, Raya packet, and Raya greeting card DIYs, to welcome Hari Raya in Mechamato style. The craft videos will debut on Cartoon Network social media pages @cartoonnetworkasia on Monday, 2 May 2022.
Get creative with Mechamato on this special occasion and catch the Mechamato Week Marathon from 2 to 8 2022, from 11am to 1pm daily, only on Cartoon Network (Astro Channel 615 HD). In the meantime, check out my interview with Monsta Chief Content Officer and Mechamato showrunner Anas Abdul Aziz.
