Manga Publisher Shueisha Forms Games Company

Manga publisher Shueisha has announced that they have established Shueisha Games as a wholly-owned subsidiary to expand into the games industry. Shueisha is best known for publishing Weekly Shonen Jump, which is one of the most famous weekly manga magazines in Japan.
Shueisha Games will develop and release games for consoles, PC and smart devices, as well as physical games such as board games. It will be led by games production manager Masami Yamamoto, who previously worked at Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio.

New Title for Smartphones
A famous Weekly Shonen Jump manga artist will be in charge of the character design. Development and story are handled by a major overseas game company, aiming for global development with a focus on Japan and other Asian countries.

Co-published with a major Japanese company. Under development by a major Japanese developer. A new genre of multi-player competition.
