In this episode, Obi-Wan Kenobi infiltrates Fortress Inquisitorius underwater and interestingly, he’s wearing the Jedi Breathing Device. We first saw him (and Qui-Gon Jinn) wearing the Jedi Breathing Device in Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace.
It is a small breather that fits snugly into a Jedi Knight’s utility belt, the A99 aquata breather is a compact mouthpiece designed to supply its wearer with a breathable gas. The A99 has advanced filters to allow it to function underwater, in a vacuum, and in certain poisonous environments. The A99 has a number of variants to accommodate a variety of alien physiologies. The A99’s miniature compressed air tanks can supply two hours of oxygen.
The Interrogation Chamber was a location within Fortress Inquisitorius on the ocean moon of Nur in the Mustafar system. It was used by the Inquisitorius to interrogate and torture Jedi in order to turn them into Inquisitors, and had an interrogation chair in the center of the room.
In Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, during his mission to restore the Jedi Order, Jedi Knight Cal Kestis infiltrated the fortress in order to recover a holocron that was stolen by the Inquisitor Second Sister on the planet Bogano after a brief duel with one another. However, Kestis was tasked with reaching the Interrogation Chamber, where the holocron was being kept, but instead faced the Inquisitor in a duel once more, which resulted in her death at the hands of the Sith Lord Darth Vader, who tore the room apart while trying to kill Kestis.
However, keep in mind that Obi-Wan Kenobi takes place after the events of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. It makes sense that the Interrogation Chamber would look different, considering that it was destroyed at the end of the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order.
Obi-Wan discovers that the Inquisitors have been keeping the dead bodies of fallen Jedi inside Fort Inquisitorius.
Even younglings. Creepy…
The ships that rescued Obi-Wan looks familiar for a reason. They’re the same ones used by the Rebels on Hoth in Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.
When stationed on Hoth, the Rebel Alliance modified T-47 airspeeders to become snowspeeders, fast flying conveyances for patrol and defense of their hidden base. It took some doing to keep the crippling cold from permanently grounding their airforce, but Rebel ingenuity overcame the relentless Hoth elements. The T-47 airspeeder is a small, wedge-shaped craft with two forward-facing laser cannons. In its rear arc is a harpoon gun fitted with a heavy-duty tow cable. The snowspeeder is a two-man vessel, with a pilot and rear-facing tailgunner.
We only have two episodes left, fellow Star Wars fans. Until then, excelsior!
