[Rumour] Hideo Kojima Is Working On A New Horror Game
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|June 8, 2022|0 Comment
The minds behind Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding might be hard at work on a new horror game project.
Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions may be working on a new horror game under the title Overdose according early footage sent to Try Hard Guides (via Tom Henderson). These rumours have some substance to them, as Hideo Kojima is reported to have been in talks with Xbox for the company to publish his next game. There’s probably a good chance this game may be announced at this year’s Summer Games Fest, hosted by Kojima’s best game journalist friend Geoff Keighley.
So what details are there about the game? Well, it involves actress Margaret Qualley (Mama in Death Stranding) and features footage of your playable character walking through dark corridors with a flashlight (in first and third person). This may be Kojima’s way of going back to the survival horror well after his Silent Hills game got cancelled following his past departure from Konami.
In any case, we’ll find out soon enough in a few days when Summer Games Festival 2022 happens.
