Bandai Namco & ILCA Form New Company, Bandai Namco Aces
By Lewis "lickety" Larcombe|July 1, 2022|1 Comment
Bandai Namco Entertainment have joined forces with ILCA Inc. to establish a new company called Bandai Namco Aces Inc., which is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
Bandai Namco is most notable for games such as Tekken, Ace Combat and most recently Elden Ring. So we know their capabilities when it comes to game development and publication. ILCA on the other hand intends to bring their technical prowess to help produce high quality content using state-of-the-art technology.
The new company aims to utilise Bandai Namco’s game development expertise with high-end photorealistic game content to produce the highest quality products for us gamers. In August 2021, Bandai Namco originally announced that a new Ace Combat game is currently in development by ILCA.
The reasoning behind the name “Aces” is to help embody being the leading or absolute best in any field, and this new studio will aim to do exactly that. Combining the best aspects of both companies, Aces will hopefully deliver deep and lasting, high-quality content to fans around the world, including for the Ace Combat series.
In the meantime, you can check out our full review of Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown here. Unfortunately, it seems like it will be a while before we get more details about this project. Still, it’s good to know that the future of the Ace Combat franchise remains secure. We don’t really get many arcade flight sim combat games like these anymore.
