EA has announced that FIFA 23 will launch for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on 30 September 2022. Early access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition will begin three days earlier on 27 September 2022.
FIFA 23 feature the next evolution of HyperMotion2 technology, which will only be available on the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The advancements to FIFA 23’s HyperMotion2 technology and physics system have unlocked an array of new features making the gameplay experience feel more immersive than ever.
Team and player movement across the pitch is more responsive, smart and authentic, whether jockeying against a defender or claiming an aerial ball against an attacker as a keeper. Players can also look forward to a new intelligent dribbling system, a more natural and fluid transition to shooting, all-new acceleration mechanics, enhanced player awareness and much more.
The game will also feature women’s club teams for the first time with the inclusion of the Barclays Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema at launch, extending its position as the world’s most authentic football experience. With the debut of women’s club teams, all new animations informed by the movement of real-life female players have been added to FIFA 23.
Players will also be able to experience the pinnacle of both men’s and women’s international football in FIFA 23 with the men’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023 as post-launch updates at no additional
cost.
In addition, FIFA 23 will feature cross-play across multiple online games modes, which will be available between the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (or between the PS4 and Xbox One).
FIFA 23 boasts more than 19,000 players across more than 700 teams in over 100 stadiums and over 30 leagues. FIFA 23 is the only place you can play the iconic UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa Conference League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamericana, Premier League, Bundesliga, and LaLiga Santander in the same game.
It will feature a variety of mode advancements and innovations across Career Mode, Pro Clubs, VOLTA FOOTBALL, FIFA 23 Ultimate Team and more. The new Training Center coaching system will also give new and less experienced players the ability to easily learn the fundamentals of gameplay and hone their skills before jumping into a match.
For the very first time, fans will also have the opportunity to play both the men’s and women’s FIFA World Cups in the same game, with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023 with more details to come at a later date.
Back in May 2022, EA confirmed that FIFA 23 will be the last FIFA game developed and published by them after almost three decades. The first ever EA FIFA game was FIFA International Soccer for the Sega Mega Drive and Genesis in 1993. Starting from 2024, EA will replace the FIFA franchise with EA Sports FC, but more details on that will only be shared in July 2023.
