Which Persona Game Deserves A Remake? An Atlus Survey Reveals All
Earlier this year, Atlus dished out a survey for fans and gamers to fill up. The survey in question is about the company’s JRPG library.
The company has revealed its results on a special Atlus Survey 2022 livestream, and the answers are pretty obvious if you’ve been paying attention to the Shin Megami Tensei Persona scene. Persona 3 and Persona 2 were the most-requested remakes from fans.
Here’s the full list and the livestream below:
1. Persona 3 (Persona 3, Persona 3 FES, Persona 3 Portable) – 78.9%
1. Persona 2: Innocent Sin / Persona 2: Eternal Punishment – 78.9%
3. Revelations: Persona – 76.3%
4. Persona 4 (Persona 4, Persona 4 Golden) – 74.8%
5. Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha series – 72.1%
6. Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers – 69.5%
7. Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse – 66.7%
8. Shin Megami Tensei IV – 65.3%
9. Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga series – 62.4%
10. Etrian Odyssey series – 58%
Sadly, the Etrian Odyssey series is at the bottom of the request list. It’s also a crying shame that nobody cares about the Digital Devil Saga series. Ah well…
It’s really no secret that fans do want to see both Persona 2 (Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment) and Persona 3 get a remake and have them play like Persona 5, in terms of graphics, combat, exploration, and maybe social links. Here’s hoping we hear more news about a remake for either games next year or the year after; we still want Persona 6 news.
