[Leak] Genshin Impact To Get Trading Card Game In Near Future
A new Genshin Impact leak reveals that HoYoverse is taking some cues from games like The Witcher 3 and Horizon: Forbidden West; the fact that they have in-game collectible card games in the world.
According to a user in Genshin Impact news site Wangsheng Funeral Parlor (via Reddit), a number of in-game files allude to a Genshin Impact trading card game in the RPG, which will release after the game’s 3.1 update end of September. That’s the update featuring upcoming gacha characters Nilou, Candace, and Cyno.
The card game itself is called Genshin Invokation; players can customize their deck covers and challenge NPCs in the game at The Cat’s Tail, which is a bar in Mondstadt. Beyond that, nothing is known about how the actual card game plays like, though we suspect all cards will be based on characters, locations, and enemies in the lore.
Genshin Impact’s 3.1 update will be out on 28th September, so there’s a good chance the card game will be out after that date, probably with a festival occurring in the subsequent update.
