Zootopia+ is a new spinoff series of 2016’s Zootopia that heads back to the fast-paced mammal metropolis of Zootopia in a short-form series that dives deeper into the lives of some of the film’s most intriguing residents, including Fru Fru, the fashion-forward arctic shrew; ZPD dispatcher Clawhauser, the sweet-toothed cheetah; and Flash, the smiling sloth who’s full of surprises.

Courtesy of Disney+ Hotstar Malaysia, we were lucky enough to participate in a press conference with Zootopia+ cast and crew, including Bonnie Hunt (voice of Bonnie Hopps, “Hopp on Board”), Don Lake (voice of Stu Hopps, “Hopp on Board”), Josie Trinidad (Director), Trent Correy (Director) and more.

During the press conference, Zootopia+ director Trent Correy revealed the series features several hidden Disney easter eggs and references, but he spills the beans on one of them, which Disney fans will surely want to know about.

He said:

“Oh, boy. There’s a lot eh, Josie?

I have to say too, because we didn’t have a writer on the series so it was really just Josie and I in the story room just trying to make each other laugh. Like Don mentioned before with the recordings, we were just drawing silly drawings and trying to figure out where easter eggs could go.

So, I’m going to throw one that is, if you look closely in Episode 2: The Real Rodents Of Little Rodentia, when they go to shop for their wedding dress, that is actually the princess room from Wreck-It-Ralph 2.

There’s a couple hidden princess dresses right there shrunk down to shrew size. You might see a little Belle dress back there, or a Tiana dress, really tiny.”

If you’re unfamiliar, 2018’s Ralph Breaks The Internet featured an iconic sing featuring various Disney princesses interacting with each other in the same scene.
