You may have noticed that The Game Awards 2022 yesterday morning was missing a key first-party company: Xbox. Or at least, the company has been low-key about its participation.

The company did not make any major game announcements because they’re saving their load for 2023, according to Xbox marketing lead Aaron Greenberg. He tweeted online to reassure fans that they have a lot planned for next year.

“We have a lot planned to show and share about an incredibly exciting year ahead for 2023. Appreciate folks are eager to learn and see more. Timing is always key, but don’t worry you will not have to wait too long for what’s next from us.”

In related news, Microsoft said that it is ready to present its case in court after the US Federal Trade Commission launched a lawsuit to present the company’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
