Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom Expansion Adds New Class & More
By Lewis Larcombe|January 26, 2023|0 Comment
The fans of The Elder Scrolls Online will soon revisit Morrowind with the upcoming Necrom expansion, which was announced during the Xbox & Bethesda Developer_Direct and will include a brand new class. The expansion launches on PC and Xbox on 5 June and 20 June respectively.
This expansion will introduce a new class to the game, called the Arcanist, making it the third new class since the game’s launch. Additionally, players will be able to experience the new content without breaking the bank as most of the previously released DLC will be available for free for a limited time.
The Necrom expansion introduces the new Arcanist class, featuring unique abilities and powerful magic from forbidden sources. The Arcanist class offers players the ability to specialize in different forms of magic, giving them access to destructive, restorative, or defensive spells, providing them with a wider range of powers.
Necrom will transport players to the eastern region of Morrowind and bring them to the Telvanni Peninsula, home to the city of Necrom. Players will become embroiled in the schemes of Hermaeus Mora, a powerful Daedric Prince who has previously appeared in the Dragonborn DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This expansion is the first instalment in the Shadow Over Morrowind story arc, which will introduce cosmic horror creatures to the game world.
In addition, players who own the base game can experience the epic story of The Elder Scrolls Online before the launch of Necrom by playing over 20 DLC expansions for a limited time, excluding The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle.
Tamriel is facing a dark new era, as Lovecraftian beasts and undead monsters threaten the land. A shadow is growing and heroes are needed to defend it.
