GoldenEye 007 Hits Xbox And Switch This January 2023

Developer Rare revealed that GoldenEye 007 is coming to Nintendo Switch Online and Xbox Game Pass this week, 27 January 2023.

The classic N64 game will be available to subscribers of the Switch Online Expansion Pack tier and will have online play just like every N64 title on the service. On that same day, Microsoft made an announcement that GoldenEye 007 will launch on Xbox as well, although the online play will not be included like the Switch version.

However, on Xbox, you can buy the game individually and it will also be available on the Xbox Game Pass as well. In addition, the Xbox version will include 4k resolutions, and a smoother frame rate, including four split-screen local multiplayer option.

If you own a digital copy of Rare Replay on Xbox, you will have access to GoldenEye 007 for free.

The 1997 first-person shooter game, based on the 1995 iconic film GoldenEye, was a huge hit during the Nintendo 64 era and earned over US$250 million worldwide in total revenue. In it, you assume the role of James Bond facing a series of levels to prevent the Janus Crime Syndicate from using a satellite weapon to wreak chaos in London and possibly the world.
