Netflix Series Inside Job Season 2 Has Been Cancelled

Netflix has officially pulled the plug on Inside Job. The adult animated series will not return to the streaming platform after all.

Following rumours of the Inside Job’s premature cancellation, series creator and writer Shion Takeuchi confirmed the news via Twitter.

According to PopCulture.com, word of Inside Job cancellation first surfaced in a pair of now-deleted tweets by one of the show’s writers, Chase Mitchell, on Saturday, January 7. “I hate posts like this but our show got cancelled on Friday,” Mitchell tweeted. “I dunno if I was allowed to say this but honestly that streamer does not care about animation anymore so who gives a shit.” leaving fans of the series feeling frustrated by the sudden news.

Upon its first premiere, Inside Job was received favourably by fans and critics alike. The series currently holds a 79% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes with praise for its witty comedy and mature themes. Its Season 1, Part 1 premiered on Netflix on October 2021 and consists of 10 episodes. The show returned with Season 1, Part 2 on November 2022. Part 2 includes 8 episodes, making the grand total of the whole Season 1 to 18 episodes. In June 2022, it was announced the show was renewed for a second season. However, the decision now has been reversed.

Do you think the show deserves to be axed? We sure don’t. You can catch season one of Inside Job now on Netflix.
