Streamer Kai Cenat Banned For The 4th Time

Kai Cenat, a popular live streamer with over 3.5 million followers on Twitch and 3 million subscribers on YouTube, has been officially banned from Twitch since 26 January.

This isn’t Cenat’s first rodeo though and has a history of being banned multiple times in the past. According to the StreamerBans site, which started tracking Cenat’s channel in 2021, his first two bans were for one day each in July and August, but his third ban, issued in March 2022, lasted for an entire month.

The duration of the ban is not known. Twitch has not provided any official statement or reason for the ban. The speculated reason for the ban is due to an incident where Cenat ate edibles and passed out on a live stream, as Twitch’s terms of service prohibit drug use. But it’s possible that there might be another reason for the ban.

It is uncertain how long Kai Cenat’s latest ban from Twitch will last, but it is possible that it could result in a permanent ban. However, Twitch has shown leniency towards popular streamers in the past, allowing them multiple chances before issuing a permanent ban. For instance, Amouranth has been banned multiple times but none of the bans have been permanent. Cenat’s popularity may also work in his favour, with a less severe punishment or a shorter ban duration.

On the other hand, a permanent ban was issued to Dr Disrespect, whose ban reason was never made public. Similarly, Twitch has not given an official reason for Cenat’s ban, but many fans believe it is related to the incident where he ate edibles and passed out on a live stream.
