By Alleef AshaariVerified|February 24, 2023|1 Comment
The Xbox Game Pass on PC, or PC Game Pass, has been available in Malaysia since April 2022. Since we’re nearing the one-year anniversary of the service in Malaysia, Xbox SEA has unveiled some interesting statistics and numbers.
According to the statistics provided by Xbox SEA, the top three most played games on PC Game Pass in Malaysia are:
The same report also reveals that the gaming sector in Malaysia is dominated by mobile games with a whopping 75 percent, followed by PC gaming at 66 percent and console gaming at 55 percent. Another fun fact is that the gross revenue of the local games industry in Malaysia in 2022 was US$489.10 million, which is impressive considering that the population of Malaysia is less than 30 million people. Last but not least, the projected number of gamers in Malaysia is expected to increase to 16.2 million by 2027 and that’s in four years’ time.
Overall, we can conclude that the games industry in Malaysia is expanding and booming, especially as it becomes more and more accessible. The Xbox PC Game Pass is a huge contributor to that, allowing players access to a massive library of both old and new games for just RM15 per month. In the meantime, check out our review of the Xbox PC Game Pass here.
You can subscribe to Xbox PC Game Pass now by heading over here and paying only RM5 for your first month.
