Resident Evil 4 Remake The Mercenaries Will Be Free DLC; Out This April

Resident Evil 4 Remake is out right now, complete with its own launch trailer along with some wacky PR.

At the end of the action-packed launch trailer, there’s a small announcement for the game’s The Mercenaries mode. It’s going to be free DLC and it’ll be available on 7th April.

The game’s Mercenaries mode will have you pick any of the playable characters in the game to fight off enemies in a timed gauntlet challenge. Kill all of them for points, and collect powerups along the way to kill enemies better and in style. It’s not so much a mode about survival, but a mode about racking the most kills possible in the shortest time. In other words, a very replayable mode!

It’s a bit odd why it’s free DLC instead of it being launched alongside RE4 Remake; it’s probably a time constraint thing. In any case, we look forward to using Leon, Ada Wong, Jack Krauser, HUNK, and possibly Albert Wesker in this upcoming mode this April.
