By Xandria MordenVerified|March 7, 2023|0 Comment
Ever wish you could explore a post-apocalyptic sci-fi world run by robots in the distant future but in 2D? Well, this is your chance to experience it.
The beta for Library of Babel is now available, so you can jump in and get a head start on your journey. The Library of Babel is a stealth platformer journey developed by Tanuki Game Studio and published by Neon Doctrine. It’s inspired by Jorge Luis Borges’ short story. It’s set to release on 7th April on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and even on the Nintendo Switch!
Now, the Library of Babel welcomes you into a world 20, 000 years after the extinction of humanity. The world is, well, ran by advanced robots and they have no idea whatsoever of their ‘mythical creators’. So everything is going great, society is fully functioning and ran by the robots, until a library that contains everything that has, is, and will ever be written is discovered. You can definitely expect chaos to ensue.
You play as Ludovik, a seeker, who is sent out to investigate a murder case in Babylon. Out of the blue, a state of emergency is suddenly declared, and poor Ludovik finds himself in the middle of dangerous territory as he follows the murderer’s trail and unravels the big mystery behind the Library’s lockdown.
The world features beautiful sceneries that include vast jungles, abandoned temples, and plentiful cybernetic inhabitants to interact with. The Library of Babel looks promises an atmospheric tale as well as a thoughtful one on how we consider infinity.
You can sign up for the beta here on Steam!
