Zack Snyder’s Next Movie Is Getting An RPG Tie-In Game

Zack Snyder has announced that his upcoming movie, Rebel Moon, will be getting an RPG tie-in game.
During an interview with The Nerd Queens, Snyder was discussing his upcoming movie and he confirmed that an RPG based on Rebel Moon is currently in the works.
He said:
“The one thing that I’m having a really good time with and I don’t really know if I’m supposed to talk about it but, this RPG that we’re doing that is just literally insane, and so immersive and so intense and so huge.
There’s more coming, but all I’ll say is it was pitched to me, because I’ve always wanted to do an RPG, but they were like ‘We could do it at this scale or we could do it at ridiculous scale.’ And I was like ridiculous scale is clearly the scale that we should be doing it.”
However, Snyder didn’t reveal which studio or developer is working on the Rebel Moon RPG game and that’s because the developers told him that “it’s going to take so much time, because we’ve got to all these brain dumps, you’ve got to tell us everything in the universe, what’s happening…”
Snyder also said that the game will feature “a completely realized universe” and “it’s really going to be fun”. Funnily enough, he ends by saying:
“Anyway, I’m not supposed to talk about it.”
That probably means that the game is not supposed to have been revealed so early, especially considering that Rebel Moon (the movie) will only premiere on Netflix on 22 December 2023.
Check out the synopsis of Rebel Moon below:
When a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius, they dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past named Kora to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them take a stand.
It stars Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Staz Nair, Charlie Hunnam and Anthony Hopkins and more.
