Trine 5 Is Coming Out Later This Year
Yes, the Trine series is still going on strong, with a fifth game oncoming.
Trine is a platformer where players control three different characters with different skills to escape a puzzle-laden series of levels. Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is the next entry for the series that started in 2009, and not much has changed. We’re all the better for it; we do need a Lost Vikings-style 2D platformer in this day and age.
The new Trine still features the thief, the wizard, and the knight as they now have to fight a clockwork kingdom led by one Lady Sunny. The game features lighthearted story bits, 20 levels to explore, support for both singleplayer and local/online co-op multiplayer for up to three people, puzzle difficulty that changes depending on player count in-game, skill quest systems, and tactical multi-phase boss fights.
Check out the short but sweet trailer below. Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy will be out in Summer 2023 for PC, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
