Asus ROG Ally Price & Release Date Announced
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|May 11, 2023|0 Comment
Update [19/5/2023]: Malaysian date added.
Asus has announced more details about its upcoming gaming device, the Asus ROG Ally. The device is slated to be a Steam Deck competitor, albeit with more power and a sleeker design outside and inside. And a lot of games to boot!
The Asus ROG Ally’s price tag is US$699 (roughly around RM3,200 or S$930) and will ship on 13th June worldwide. The handheld PC will be out in Malaysia on July 2023 though, with a new price exclusive to the region. There is also a cheaper version for US$599 that will be out in Q3 2023.
Not only that, the Asus ROG Ally is Windows-powered, has 7″ touchscreen (coated with Gorilla Glass Victus and DXC), 1080p resolution, and can also use Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and more.
The controller and chassis build are meant for long-term play so that your hands aren’t cramped or tired while gaming for long hours. The Asus ROG Ally also has an app called Armoury Crate SE that lets you play all games on one device, spanning many publishers and a huge library from multiple launchers.
Based on recent reviews online, ROG Ally has features that would make Steam Deck owners jealous, like easy-to-reach shoulder buttons with better clicks, not-too-tall analog sticks, an Xbox One-style concave d-pad, and custom fan curves to control noise and heat levels.
