Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC To Be Showcased At Summer Game Fest 2023
By Lewis "lickety" Larcombe|May 30, 2023|0 Comment
CD Projekt Red has been confirmed as a guest at this year’s Summer Game Fest and they’ll be showcasing the highly anticipated Phantom Liberty DLC. Remember when Cyberpunk had a disastrous launch? Well, those days are slowly fading away.
The same team that brought us the successful Witcher series has been hard at work on Cyberpunk 2077, and with Hollywood star Keanu Reeves involved, the hype was real. Despite its rocky start, the game has made significant improvements thanks to major patches, and now fans are eagerly awaiting what’s in store for Night City.

One of the most anticipated things is the Phantom Liberty expansion, the first major DLC for Cyberpunk 2077. CDPR recently announced that this exciting new content will be featured at Summer Game Fest. Their Twitter post mentions that invited guests will have the chance to play some of the upcoming story during Play Days. We’re not sure yet if the general public will get to experience Phantom Liberty at the event, so it might be limited to the media for now.
Mark your calendars, because Summer Game Fest 2023 starts on 8 June. It’s going to be a fantastic opportunity for studios and publishers to showcase their upcoming projects, just like CD Projekt Red. Other big names attending the event include Capcom, Behavior Interactive (the folks behind Dead by Daylight), Square Enix, Niantic Labs, and Developer Digital, along with many other industry leaders. The festivities will be held at the YouTube Theater, a 6,000-seat venue in Los Angeles, and you can enjoy the event both in person and online.
Now, let’s talk about the DLC itself. Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty will bring a fresh new story to the game, complete with a whole new cast of characters, including one portrayed by the talented Idris Elba. As of now, there’s no official release date for this exciting content, except that it’s slated to drop sometime in 2023. Fingers crossed that its appearance at Summer Game Fest will push CDPR to finally reveal the release date we’ve all been waiting for.
